Deckpeck v2.0
Hey All!
This has been a long time and we are very excited about the changes.
Why did you do this?
First off we wanted to tell you why we have decided to make these changes. Deckpeck was built for artist to set up online stores and not have to worry about the hassles of production, shipping and customer service. We initially made our money by marking up all products, which left very little margins for some of you who wanted to keep a low price point. We had a general marketplace, but we really always wanted the focus to be on the individual stores..
What are the major changes?
Price decreases
For starters, we are offering all products at cost directly to you. This way you can have enough margins to make money off your store and not have to worry about charging to much.
More products
Deckpeck has come a long way since it was just skateboards and we have added a handful of new products (and will continue to add more). A lot of the new products will be garments geared towards men and women. We will continue to offer all the products from before as well.
Better customization
You now have the ability to customize your store colors using a very simple wys/wyg editor. You can customize it to match your current website and have your store be a direct off shoot. We have also decided to re-introduce product thumbnails again. We are no longer going to auto generate thumbnails, which should give a lot of you more creative control in your stores.
Customer Information
This is one of the more important feature requests we got and was long overdue. These are your customers that you have won over with your art. Every order now includes customer info, so you can start building up your followings.
Automatic Withdrawls
You now can request to be paid out whenever you like. Simply log into your dashboard and click withdraw funds. All withdraw requests will be processed in 24 hours.
Featured Stores
Our top tier stores will now automatically be made a featured store.
How will we make money?
We now offer 3 monthly plans - a 24 dollar plan, a 12 dollar plan and a free one. The plans will vary slightly based on options and number of products. We will still continue to provide all the manufacturing, shipping and customer support.
How will current stores be affected and what do we need you to do?
One of the major changes for past store owners is that we are now taking hi resolution files in house. If you are a current store owner, you will need to upload thumbnails for all your products and add the hi res files. For all garments - the hi res file will now need to be a png with a transparent background.
All current Deckpeck stores will remain the same. If you choose not to take part in our new plans/features, your stores will remain as is. The current limit on products for our free plan is 5, but if your store currently has 100 it will remain as is.
Whats next?
We are very proud of the new Deckpeck and hope you guys will as well. There are a lot of more improvements coming in the future. There is bound to be bugs we missed or problems with the site. Please bear with us on these and email any of them to info@deckpeck.com.
